Table of Contents

A water softening system is worthwhile for water hardness in the medium range, i.e. from 8.4 °dH (see table).

How is high water hardness noticeable?

  1. Limescale deposits in the bathroom are clearly visible
  2. Appliances such as washing machines will be affected much more quickly by high levels of limescale
  3. A higher dosage of detergent is required than with soft water
  4. The taste of drinks made with water is not as intense and pure
  5. Limescale deposits form on areas that are not immediately visible, such as the pipes and inside the hot water boiler

Can I determine the water hardness myself?

Yes, it is possible and not difficult. We have already put together a detailed explanation for this

Is it worth it from a financial perspective?

Of course, the system has to pay for itself first, but the purchase is worth it.
We also have a very interesting calculation about this in our support area.Hard water
