Test set for determining water hardness

Ideal for easy determination of water hardness.

5 ml of water are taken using the enclosed measuring cuvette. The measuring liquid is dripped into the water until the color of the liquid changes. The number of drops gives the water hardness in °dh (titration principle)

1 drop of reagent corresponds to 1° dH in 5 ml sample volume.

Scope of delivery :

  • operation manual
  • Measuring container
  • 2x titration liquid à 15 ml

Special offer:

If you subsequently purchase a water softening system, we will refund the price you paid for the test set (offer only valid within four weeks of purchasing the test set).

The liquid loses its color strength after about two years and should be used within this period.

You're not doing anything wrong. This only means that the water has a hardness of 0°dH (1 drop = 1°dH)

That's difficult to answer. Depending on the hardness of the water, you need different numbers of drops. 1 drop roughly corresponds to about 0.05 ml. This means you can get about 300 drops per bottle. If the water hardness is 20 °dH, you need 20 drops per measurement.

As a rule, you can therefore carry out between 15 and 30 measurements (depending on water hardness) per bottle.
